Dinithi Fonseka set a record becoming the first and the only student in the history of CIRP to have won three Gold Medals of Best Performance and three different graduations, one each for her programs during her academic progression from Foundation to Bachelor's Degree.
Dinithi, a student of Vishaka Vidyala Colombo, joined CIRP Foundation Diploma at the age of 15 soon after her O/L's. She progressed from the Foundation to the Diploma of Higher Education in Psychology and then to the BSc (Hons) Psychology program.
She obtained the best academic achievement in her batch for each of these levels and ended up wining 3 Gold Medals. She was awarded the final Gold medal at the recently held CIRP Graduation of 2023 where she also graduated with the BSc (Hons) in Psychology.
Talking about her incredible achievement Dinithi stated that her success is mainly due to that fact that she loves learning about human behavior and that she is deeply passionate about psychology. “Apart from engaging in studies, I had the opportunity of involving myself is numerous activities that helped me gather various skills during my time at CIRP. I took up whatever the opportunity that was made available from taking part in community projects, psychology exhibitions, mental health awareness campaigns and internships.”
Dinithi is awaiting entry to her master’s degree and plans to continue her studies to become a psychologist in the future.
Dinithi said “ You would not find another institute in Sri Lanka that meets the quality standards of the psychology offered at CIRP”
